Cynthia Rowley Stripes

Stripes: they are probably my favorite pattern this season. Actually, stripes have probably been my favorite pattern for a few seasons now. They can be simple or they can be sassy; it just depends on how you wear them!

I had been on the hunt for a black and white striped skirt for a while, but had not experienced much success. Maxi skirts seemed to overpower me a bit, and a few other options I’d tried had either been too short or just not right.

Oh, but then I laid eyes on this striped number by Cynthia Rowley. At T.J. Maxx. For $20.

The slanted stripes in a bandage-wrapped style completely drew me in. I had to have the skirt – STAT! Another plus: the skirt is made from a jersey stretch material, so it is both breathable and comfortable to wear.

I also have to point out my new tote bag (because I’m obsessed) – I scored this item at T.J. Maxx too. Funny enough, the day I bought the bag I was perusing the local mall. I spotted this exact bag for full price at Dillards and had actually been considering the purchase. I decided to wait on it, and boy am I glad I did! About 20 minutes later when I walked into T.J. Maxx, there it was: the exact same bag…in the exact same colors…for $40 less. Sold.

Striped pencil skirt: Cynthia Rowley, purchased at T.J. Maxx (similar here and here), Teal tee: Merona, purchased at Target, Tote bag: Jessica Simpson Getaway Tote, purchased at T.J. Maxx, Cat Eye Sunglasses: Persol (similar here), Spotted pumps: ZARA (similar here)

What item have you scored for a great deal lately? Tell me!
