I’m experiencing a flashback to childhood in today’s outfit.
When I was a little girl, there was one brand of shoe that I wore practically every day. They were white, and I usually rocked them with a pair of socks with lace trim. So sassy.
I’m pretty sure that Keds were the most popular shoes among the girls in my elementary school. And with good reason – they were the perfect everyday shoe.
Now, back in the day, I only remember limited choices in color being available in Keds, but that is not the case today! If you take a look at their website or visit a store that stocks them, it is clear that the selection is vast. There are various colors, patterns, and even a few different styles available to choose from. I love it! I hemmed and hawed over the different options to purchase (I was tempted to go with a pattern), but in the end I decided to go with a nice, neutral tan shade in the classic Keds style.
Minus the frilly lace socks, of course.
Keds are really one of the best everyday shoes, in my humble opinion! I love that the brand has stood the test of time, and that they are stepping it up with fun colors and styles that keep with the trends of today. The shoes are comfortable to wear, and if you snag a neutral color like the tan ones I’m sporting, they match oh so many outfits! Pairing them with some chino shorts and a light blazer just seemed like the right thing to do.
Cropped eyelet jacket: Banana Republic, previous season (similar here) / Beige camisole: Converse, purchased at Target / Orange shorts: Marisa cotton twill shorts from Ann Taylor LOFT / Keds: Champion in Stone Canvas / Gold satchel: Ivanka Trump Alexandrite bag, purchased at Marshalls / Leopard print belt: purchased at Target / Bangles (L to R): Kristin Hassan Exit-52 bangle, leopard print bangle purchased at Dillards
Did you wear Keds when you were a kid like I did? Would you sport them now?
Last summer Gap had some Keds and they went on a major sale so I scooped them up! I have crazy colors though like lime green and silver but they have lasted great and I can even still wear them this summer!
So fun! I’m jealous of your sale finds! 😉
love it, @SheLikesRuffles! Perfect mix of feminine and sporty. http://t.co/0IeAteHf #OOTD #style

Very cute! I still have my pink keds from high school days! 😉 They are indeed great shoes. 🙂
Hi! Jumped to you from Monday Mingle. Your jacket is such an amazing summer piece! I’m pretty sure I had floral print Keds in the 1990s… I feel like those are back in style now!
Keds has really stepped up their game lately I think! If you visit their site, there are TONS of patterns/colors and styles that I’d totally wear for a casual day when I need some actual shoes…
i love this whole look!

I am loving everything about this look. From the orange shorts and leopard belt to the Keds this is so cute! I may even get a pair of Keds now, thanks for sharing!
Keds are a great classic look, and a great look for summer attire. They also compliment many casual looks brilliantly.
Love this! One of my favourite looks you’ve done.
They are the best sneakers, I have three pairs, red, tan, and black/white. I wore them with lacy trim socks for Halloween. I was a 50s girl This is where I bought the socks

You are so adorable! Love the jacket!
I started wearing Keds as a kids and never stopped wearing them. Bobbie socks rolled down during the winter. No socks the rest of the time.
