My Style

Kickin it in my Keds

I’m experiencing a flashback to childhood in today’s outfit.

When I was a little girl, there was one brand of shoe that I wore practically every day. They were white, and I usually rocked them with a pair of socks with lace trim. So sassy.

I’m pretty sure that Keds were the most popular shoes among the girls in my elementary school. And with good reason – they were the perfect everyday shoe.

Now, back in the day, I only remember limited choices in color being available in Keds, but that is not the case today! If you take a look at their website or visit a store that stocks them, it is clear that the selection is vast. There are various colors, patterns, and even a few different styles available to choose from. I love it! I hemmed and hawed over the different options to purchase (I was tempted to go with a pattern), but in the end I decided to go with a nice, neutral tan shade in the classic Keds style.

Minus the frilly lace socks, of course.

Keds are really one of the best everyday shoes, in my humble opinion! I love that the brand has stood the test of time, and that they are stepping it up with fun colors and styles that keep with the trends of today. The shoes are comfortable to wear, and if you snag a neutral color like the tan ones I’m sporting, they match oh so many outfits! Pairing them with some chino shorts and a light blazer just seemed like the right thing to do.

Did you wear Keds when you were a kid like I did? Would you sport them now?
