When I travel, I tend to find myself struggling in an internal battle. Do I pack outfits that show a lot of style, or do I opt for comfort and versatility? Turns out, when we went to the Midwest, I decided to pack on the comfortable and versatile side of things.
Jeans and tee shirts are not usually my go-to options, but when you are walking around the city for a few miles, comfort is key. I did decide to jazz things up by wearing a top with a bold print and a strong shoulder though! And, of course, my snake print Shelly flats (which are STILL amazing, by the way…go buy a pair right now…don’t delay!).
You’ve got to add a roomy carry-all bag (in my opinion), and this Urban Expressions handbag has been one of my favorite pieces as of late. The vegan leather material is lightweight, soft, and still has a leather-like look without appearing plastic. The gray color was a no-brainer since it pairs with pretty much every color in your wardrobe. I only brought ONE handbag with me for our week trip to the Midwest. ONE BAG. Does that blow your mind just a little bit? It does for me at least.
Stripe 3/4 sleeve tee: purchased at T.J. Maxx (similar at ModCloth) // Boyfriend jeans: Banana Republic (similar at Ann Taylor LOFT) // Sunglasses: Ray Ban New Wayfarer // Handbag: Urban Expressions Ditsy Hobo // Snake print flats: Gianni Bini Shelly
What types of clothing do you wear when you’re traveling? Do you go for versatile, or for unique?

I love the little fancy shoulders on that top…they make a tee a little bit more fun!

Love the outfit – the shoulders on the top are so cute! Love even more the fact that you were in my (former) city. Yay, Chicago! Hope you had fun!
That’s my go to outfit all the time. Don’t judge me when you see me in a striped top and boyfriend cut jeans multiple times over the fall!
