Does this dress look familiar? It probably should…its colorful sister has been on the blog previously. A few months ago I scored an incredibly comfortable Cynthia Rowley tee shirt dress at Marshalls. The pop of coral in my wardrobe was a great addition for the warmer months, but as soon as December rolled around I knew it had to be retired for a while. I was sad to see it go for a while; the material is thick and stretchy, and the swing of the skirt is girly and fun.
By some good stroke of luck, I stumbled upon the same dress in black at Marshalls recently. What good fortune, right? I didn’t hesitate for a second; I had to take it home. I had JUST been thinking about how I wish the dress was in multiple colors and that I would have purchased them all. Looks like my wish came true on that front! The black dress is perfect for any time of the year, but will definitely get me through the cooler months here in Florida before the coral counterpart can make an appearance again. I really like that I can dress it up for a fancier occasion (like my brother’s rehearsal dinner), but it is also appropriate to wear to work with a pair of flats. Hooray, versatility!
When my eyes landed on this necklace in the jewelry case at T.J. Maxx, I knew its new home would be in my jewelry cabinet. Plus, it would be a great way to jazz up the tee shirt dress. This LydellNYC necklace’s original price tags – $250. The price I paid? $50. You really can’t beat that. I hesitated a bit before spending the money, but the doubts subsided as soon as I started getting questions about it from strangers. I’ve work it quite a few times since the purchase, and I always tend to get stopped wherever I am to get an inquiry about where I purchased it. I’m finding myself pairing it with so many of my outfits – any excuse to wear it!
Black tee shirt dress: Cynthia Rowley, purchased at Marshalls // Statement necklace: Lydell NYC, purchased at T.J. Maxx (similar here and here) // Leopard print pumps: Ivanka Trump ‘Pinkish’ platform (same brand, slightly different shoe here) // Handbag: Urban Expressions (similar on Zappos)
Have you purchased the same item in multiple colors before? What was it?

I love TJMaxx! It is the first place I hit up when I visit my parents in Sarasota they have the best one in my opinion 🙂
Umm, that dress is stunning. I would probably try to get it in 5 different colors if I could! I love short sleeved dresses!
I’m in love with that necklace. 🙂
What a great dress! I love it in both colors. That necklace is a stunner too. What a steal at only $50! Thanks for linking up with Mix it Mondays!
