Today, I’m having some fun with a little bit of color blocking.
Although it has been warm here in Florida lately, it is not yet time to break out the strapless sundresses. Being the maxi dress lover that I am, I can’t bear the thought of being unable to wear them in the winter months. So I took to my closet for a solution. I happened across a bright green button down that I used to wear when I worked in an office that required more business-like attire. I hadn’t worn it in over a year. But, the day had come. I cinched it around my waist and tied it tightly in a knot…voila! My old shirt had new life instantly, and it helped to create a great bit of color blocking as well.

Has it been unseasonably warm in your neck of the woods? Are you itching for spring and summer weather to arrive?
Adorable look! I love tying shirts over dresses like this, and you have proved that petite girls can definitely rock maxi dresses and skirts!
Thanks so much! I actually think maxis can elongate you quite a bit – one long unbroken line can really help you look taller! Although, in this look I did break it up…but you get what I mean I hope!
Love this look! Great proportion and the colors are perfect on you!
Thanks so much! Now, if only I could be tan… 😉
I like the color combo! I am definitely ready for warm weather– mostly for all the cute wedges and sandals I’m seeing!
Me too! I need a new pair of wedges I think…there are some fun options out there!
Very cute outfit! Yes, even though it has been unseasonably warm, I am looking forward to Spring. It was wonderful to chat with you last night at the Fashion meet up!
You too! I’m always glad to meet new people in the area with similar interests. Hopefully there will be more opportunities in the future!
very cute outfit! I’m looking outside at all the snow we have and wishing for your weather!
Snow?!?! Oh my goodness, I can hardly imagine that right now! Hope it is at least a pretty sight to look at!
Love the look! I just purchased a new maxi skirt and I think this is the type of outfit I’ll be going for.
So super cute! I wish I could find a maxi dress that would 1) hit the ground and 2) not make me look insanely huge 🙁 sigh
I hope you can find one! They are seriously the most comfortable thing I wear…like…classy sweatpants. Does that sound horrible?
awesome look hun! blue and green look awesome together 🙂
