Home Depot Patio Style Challenge

Home Depot Patio Style Challenge

So….things have been relatively quiet over here. However, quite a bit has been happening behind the scenes! Notice anything a little bit different? As in…my site has a new name? And a whole new look? Your eyes don’t deceive you – Ruffles & Truffles is now Helpful Homemade, and it seemed fitting to show off what I’ve been working on at home during this entire time. I took on The Home Depot’s Patio Style Challenge this past month, and today is the day for the big reveal!

Justin and I took time to revamp and beautify our screened in patio area. If you happen to follow me on Snapchat (if not, why don’t you?), you might have caught some glimpses of the entire process of the patio style challenge, from grinding down our concrete floor, to dying it, and then putting together some DIY touches and decor to make the space our own. We were exhausted, the patio was covered in concrete mud at one point, and I may or may not have accidentally sprayed silver spray paint all over one of my hands along the way, but it all came together in the end! Now that our space has been beautified, I can’t believe we weren’t taking advantage of our outdoor space more in the past!

  • Hey your patio turned out so beautiful! Love the color combination you used. Where did you get your outside lights from?
