Today’s look is one ready for a night out. After picking out an assortment of high heels on Monday, I thought it seemed appropriate to put on a pair of my own!
It is not often that I don a pair of stiletto heels for the evening. I’ve been wearing block heels and wedges so much lately, I almost think I forgot how to walk in them! Perhaps my age is getting to me. I used to wear spike heels on a regular basis with no problems whatsoever. I suppose I should get back into the practice of it every once in a while…there’s something about them that make you feel like a girl…am I right?
When it comes to bright colors, it is no secret that I’m a big fan. Since green and blue are two of my all time favorites, I knew that this dress from Denimianco Boutique would pair perfectly with my extremely green L.A.M.B. heels. I snagged these pumps as a birthday present to myself back in…2007. Gulp. How has it been SIX years since then? Yowza. Anyway, this cobalt blue dress is definitely a versatile piece. I’m wearing it as a dress today, but also have plans to belt it at the waist and wear it as a tunic with leggings when the weather gets a bit cooler. I might have to wait a little while for that to happen, though! Temperatures in the 90s here are absolutely sweltering…
And who doesn’t love a statement necklace? This cream colored bubble necklace is great to match just about any outfit – hooray for neutrals!

Are you a fan of getting dressed up for a night out?
I love getting dressed up for a fancier occasion, but I too have found myself wearing less and less of my high heels. It’s been all about wedges and flats for me lately. I need to step up my game!
I know, right? I don’t know how I got so…lax about it all! I feel like I have forgotten how to walk in my sky high heels nowadays…I think that means I’m getting old…
Love the color of that dress! Such a beautiful shape on you too!
Thanks! I do love the tunic-style dresses…show a little leg but not have to worry about what your tummy looks like if you eat a big meal! Haha!!!
