Wedding in the Desert: Party Time!

Since I was busy being a bridesmaid in K’s wedding, I don’t have pictures of the ceremony itself. I will say that it took place outside with the view of the gorgeous Arizona skyline. The weather was fantastic; hot, but not sweltering. After the “I do’s” were complete, it was cocktail hour and reception time!

We were met by a lovely cocktail hour spread: assorted fruits, cheeses, and crackers. Fresh and healthy; I like it!

The bar included a spread of beer and wine for guests to enjoy.

Our group congregated in the courtyard at a table; chatting, eating, and picture taking ensued.

Justin and I managed to pose for a shot as well – we rarely get one together!

My friends were definitely showing off some fun details/accessories! I’m super jealous of M’s owl earrings…

As we were all having fun posing in front of a rattlesnake/eagle statue, we noticed that we weren’t alone…notice anything?

Ah yes – nested in the center of the rattlesnake was a bird! How ironic. And..upon further inspection…the bird was not alone! Awwww!

Anyway, back to cocktail hour. We had some fun trying to tame K’s runaway veil!

Then: dinner time! We entered the reception space, sat at our table, and welcomed the bride and groom!

As we enjoyed dinner (yum!), a lot of faces were being made around the table.

I assume you would also want to admire the huge bun I was sporting on my head, right?

Don’t you love the dances at a wedding reception? They are so sweet.

And with that (well, after a few hours of dancing and fun), K and M were off to start their married life together!

What is your favorite part of a wedding to experience?
