When I put together an outfit, many times I opt for wearing one pop of color. But why not kick it up a notch with more than one? It can be done!
I love how purple and green look together, so pairing them for a tee and shorts combo seemed to be a no-brainer. Color blocking can be a fun way to experiment with new color combinations you wouldn’t normally think of, and sometimes the contrast can turn into something awesome (orange and pink…purple and red…).
Vintage-style v-neck tee – Old Navy // Cotton shorts with 4″ inseam – LOFT // Pink leather belt – Talbots (similar at GAP) // Cream clutch – purchased at T.J. Maxx // Colorblock heels – BCBG, purchased at T.J. Maxx (similar on Zappos)
It’s a good way to get set for the summer season, wouldn’t you say? And there are so many options to consider. To show you what I mean, I paired the same tee and shorts I am wearing today in three other color options – take your pick!

Do you have a favorite color combination for colorblocking?
I love the colorblocking! Such fun colors too! I have been really loving mint + yellow and bright pink + yellow lately!
Love those colors together! I tend to stick to one bright pop of color with a neutral but I think I need to start mixing it up a little more!
I can definitely see myself wearing something like this! More brights the better this time of year!
I agree! The brighter the better? 😉
Fabulous! Love all those brights!
