Our weather has been playing games with us in the past few weeks. It’s cold, then it warms up to the high 70s. Then it decides to dip back into the 50s. It doesn’t want to make up its mind lately!
However, when the temps rise to the mid or high 70s it feels right to break out the springtime patterns. I feel like it is just about time to retire the darker winter attire. And this dress is a step in that direction for sure.
I spotted this tiered floral dress at J.Crew when I was shopping for my toothpick jeans, and I was smitten. Darn you and your awesome clothing, J.Crew! I was lucky enough to discover that the dress was on sale, with an additional 30% off that day…so I pulled the trigger. It was a bit higher in price than I normally pay (but still under $100 – you can buy the dress online, but I paid less in store), but the quality of the dress is so nice I was confident in its lasting power. And I love it so much, I’ve been wearing it constantly. I can teach in it, I can wear it out to lunch on a Saturday…it’s versatile, ladylike, and fun!
And in these espadrilles, I am comfortable all day long. Oh, so nice! Who else out there is ready to break out their wedges and espadrilles? They just scream spring and summer to me!
Tiered floral dress: J.Crew // Espadrille wedges: purchased at Marshalls (similar at Nordstrom by Lucky) // Envelope clutch: purchased at TJ Maxx (similar at ASOS)
Great clutch!
