Style: a brown patterned dress

It’s no secret that I love a good pattern.

I especially love a pattern when it can work for the office or for fun! When I stumbled upon this Antonio Melani dress (on the clearance rack, no less), I knew that it would be perfect to transition from a day at work to an evening out with the husband with very little effort. If the pattern wasn’t enough to sell me on sight, the flutter sleeves and the boat neck certainly did; they are two details I’ve been enjoying lately (ok, always…).

The beautiful gold bag I’m holding was a Christmas gift from my parents. I am a big fan of roomy handbags: I carry a lot of things with me on a daily basis…it’s scary. The material is very soft and supple, and the sheen really makes a beautiful statement. Plus: I love the quilted stitching…the texture makes me so happy! I appreciate the fold over closure for security, and the cross body strap could come in handy at some point if my arm ever tires out. Score one more for you, Ivanka Trump. Color me impressed; she’s won me over on shoes AND handbags now!
