Today happens to be all about mixing and matching. I feel as though it’s been a while since I mixed prints. It happens to be quite an easy task when you pair a printed shirt with a patterned scarf. I know the weather will make scarf weather a short lived season, so I’m taking advantage of all opportunities to break out this particular piece!
As soon as I laid eyes on this shirt from LOFT, I pretty much got in my car immediately and drove to the mall to pick it up. I LOVE IT.
The shirt happens to be a two-in-one, which makes it perfect for Florida. I have a hard time actually layering shirts: the heat gets to me too quickly. This shirt with the faux shirt tails is definitely up my alley in look and feel. I get the feeling this piece will get quite a bit of wear; it is just the right weight to wear in the cooler weather, but also light enough to pair with some shorts when it warms up a bit. Score!
Stripe shirt: LOFT // Olive Matchstick corduroys: J. Crew // Floral scarf: GAP (previous season, similar at JCPenney) // Naharra boots: Sam Edelman, purchased at Nordstrom (similar by Steve Madden) // Studded crossbody: MMS, purchased at T.J. Maxx
Do you like the layered look with shirts?
Love that top! And that scarf is my kind of floral, not too girly or pink 🙂
