My Style

Faux Moto

Do you have a particular item of clothing that you have always longed to add to your closet?

For me, it is a moto jacket. Words cannot fully describe how much I want to add a motorcycle jacket to my wardrobe. There are so many ways to wear the jacket – casual with jeans….girlified with a flowy dress… ***sigh***

Sadly, owning a leather moto jacket (or even a faux leather one) is somewhat impractical in Florida. The weather is rarely cool enough to warrant wearing one. So, I continue dreaming of the day when I have the extra cash to splurge on one…even if I can only wear the moto jacket a few times a year.

However, I do have a little jacket/sweater that I like to call my “faux moto,” and it is perfect for life in Florida. It is a lightweight jersey jacket that I scored at Forever 21 a year or so ago (and at only $25 it was quite a deal). The shape of the cardigan reminds me of a moto jacket, so it makes me happy that I can get the look without sweating to death.

For today’s look, I decided to go casual. Some days, you just need to wear a pair of jeans. Even though skinny jeans are still in style, I have been enjoying the fact that a wider leg is also acceptable. Squeezing in to a pair of skinny jeans or jeggings is just not happening every day…am I right friends???
