Animal Print Peplum Tank

It’s Valentine’s Day. A day filled with hearts, flowers, and candy. Well, not for everyone I guess! I love flowers. I love candy. But, I don’t love the high prices that spike up right around Valentine’s Day, so Justin and I really don’t do anything to celebrate (aside from me cooking a nice dinner with a bottle of wine…which might end up being a pizza and wine tonight because I have a very busy day today and probably won’t feel like cooking. Oh well). We will definitely still enjoy our evening together….maybe watch a movie and play a few board games. Enjoying time together with my love is a great Valentine’s Day in my opinion!

There are a lot of other things I’ve been loving lately…and Valentine’s Day seems like a great day to talk about them! First: this weather. I know I’ve been talking about the weather a lot lately, but oh my goodness has it been wonderful here. The fact that it is warm enough outside for me to wear a tank top is kind of crazy. I am really trying to embrace it and enjoy being outside whenever possible.

Another thing I love? This peplum tank top. I went in to Target on Sunday to check out the Prabal Gurung for Target collection…and even though I took home a skirt, I found myself wandering the rest of the clothing section to see what was new. It was then that my eyes fell on a rack of peplum tank tops. After trying all four color/pattern variations out (black and white stripe, solid black, coral and beige stripe, and animal print), I ended up buying two of them. With a lot of peplum tops I have the problem of them not being long enough (my torso is long), but these tops are the perfect length! Have you ever purchased more than one color/pattern of an item because you love it so much? Tell me I’m not alone.

Again, I’ve been loving that bright pops of color are showing up in clothing and accessories at this point. Maybe it’s the warm weather, but wearing a pop of hot pink shoes and a citrus green statement necklace definitely brighten my mood.

One more random thing I’m loving right now: Glamglow. They were running a promotion and I ordered their sample pack that included 2 samples of each variety – the YouthMud and the SuperMud. I honestly want to have the full size of both muds because I can’t decide which one I love more. They are incredible…I’m barely wearing any makeup (aside from mascara) in these pictures…I didn’t feel like I needed to after using the YouthMud the day before. Glamglow, you have won me over and made me fall madly in love with you.
