So, it’s the day before Thanksgiving. I don’t know about you, but typically for my household, that means tonight is an occasion to go out to dinner. There’s no sense in cooking a time consuming supper the night before one of the biggest meals of the year!
Anyway…date night it is! And I have a good reason to head out for date night: the ladies of ProjectFAB were tasked with putting together a date night outfit. Now, as much as I’d like to don a fancy dress for the occasion, it just isn’t practical in Florida (where people show up in shorts and tee shirts to fancy restaurants). This black tunic dress definitely was perfect for the occasion though! I am definitely a fan of simple pieces like this; you can dress them up or down. I know I will pair it with flats on a different day and time…it is certainly a classic “Katie” dress.
But for this time around, heels and a beaded clutch were an order! And hey – my nails happened to be a perfect match to the bag – how convenient (just a coincidence, but a lucky one at that)!
Do you like to dress up for date nights?
Black dress: Cynthia Rowley, c/o Marshalls // Glasses: Colton in Whiskey Tortoise by Warby Parker // Beaded clutch: c/o Marshalls (similar on Zappos) // Spotted pumps: ZARA (previous season, similar here) // Bow bangle: Target (similar by kate spade) // Twist hinged bangle: almost exact match on Jeweliq // Nail polish: The One That Got Away by OPI, c/o Marshalls (Basking in Gloria looks very similar via Target)
Great dress! Such a versatile black dress. Marshalls and TJMaxx are two of my favorite designer discount hunts! Cheers from a fellow Tampa Blogger!

I always love when I stumble upon some versatile finds…and this one went from me buying it at the store one day to me wearing it the next…and then again a few days later with leggings and flats for a day running errands!
