I have a dirty little secret. And I bet it might be a dirty little secret that many of you out there share with me. My name is Katie, and a guilty pleasure of mine is watching soap operas. I know I can’t be alone in this. When I was in high school, I became absolutely hooked (I was a General Hospital junkie at that time). My love of soap operas evolved into a daily routine for me. I would return home from school, open up my textbooks to do homework, and turn on the television for my afternoon fix of soap opera drama (I’ve always been one to multitask). I loved it. The plot lines ranged from the plausible to the absolutely ridiculous and sometimes unimaginable (and probably impossible). I remember thinking to myself how fun it must be to be employed as a writer for a soap opera – no character twist would be off limits…you could really stretch your imagination. And as for the actors? I went through a phase in high school and college where I loved acting/performing and I thought it would actually be pretty fun to be on set on a regular basis for a daytime soap opera. But I digress… I don’t know about you, but I remember how surprised I was last year when the announcement was made that two long lived soap operas, One Life To Live and All My Children, were being cancelled. I’ll be honest: I don’t think I’d ever heard of a soap opera being cancelled before, and it was very sad. Had times really changed so much that there was no place for these soap operas? Thankfully, the cancellation did not last for long. One Life to Live & All My Children, two of the most beloved soap operas in history are now going to be back with brand new episodes on Hulu starting on April 29th. For both of these soaps, original cast members are returning (as well as some new additions). Each episode will be 3o minutes long, airing on weekdays. How cool is that? With streaming subscription services (and free services) like Hulu, it really has made watching TV shows and movies a breeze…and allows you to watch at a time that is convenient for you. Even if you happen to be working in the afternoon during the regular time a soap opera airs, you can catch it when you’re available later on! And if you’re like me, you’ll now watch episodes on your computer while blogging, instead of doing statistics homework and watching on TV. Ah, how times change… There are two simple options to watch the latest episodes of One Life to Live and All My Children on Hulu: Hulu.com and Hulu Plus. Hulu.com is absolutely free and allows you to watch the latest episodes on your computer. The other option is through the Hulu Plus subscription service. With Hulu Plus, for a monthly fee of $7.99 you will be able to watch all episodes through select Internet connected devices such as an iPad, iPhone, gaming consoles and set top boxes. Not only will you be able to watch your favorite episodes on-the-go but you will also have full access to the Hulu library which includes complete series episodes of top TV hits. To begin a free week trial, click here. With Hulu.com and Hulu Plus you will be able to watch your favorite episodes of All My Children & One Life to Live anytime, anywhere.

I’ve never actually watched soap operas before, though they look like they’d be so fun to keep up with! My class schedule never allowed me to be home while they were on. I’ve seen the previews for these two shows all this week though, and I’m interested in watching!
I’m excited to watch the Soaps on my time on HUlu!!
I’m so excited but a bit skeptical about how the soaps are going to start up again because of how they left off…I am going to tune in for sure sometime this week. I’m trying to convince my mom how easy they will be to watch online, these two soaps were her faves. Thanks for a chance to win a subscription!
It will be great to watch these Soaps on Hulu whenever I want!
I’ve gotten away from watching soaps (I bounced between OLTL and DOOL when I was in college) because I’m working when they air and my DVR is clogged up enough as it is before adding another daily show. But, it’s very tempting to jump back into them if I can check them out on Hulu whenever I have the time. Very cool giveaway!
I am excited because I miss my Soaps so much!! What a great opportunity!! Thanks for offering!
I love Hulu!
Soaps help me pass the time when I’m home alone. Would to be able to watch whenever I want.
In my younger years, I loved DOOL, and Passions – anyone remember that show? Talk about less than plausible! Tabitha the witch, anyone?
I LOVE Hulu, I watch way too much TV as it is and I still use Hulu daily. It’s awesome that they are bringing shows back.
I am excited to watch soaps on Hulu because the story lines are always so intriguing and I could catch up on a lot of shows.

I never really got into soaps. I just didn’t have time during the day to catch up (even while in college), but I’m intrigued by them…my sister is hooked on watching them in the evenings (on DVR). 🙂 I may have to start watching them if I can catch them online, though!
love that I can watch soaps on hula since I have such a busy schedule, tracietrump@yahoo.com
I’d love to be able to watch on MY time, which doesn’t typically coincide with when my shows air 🙂
I’m excited to start watching because in the past, I would be working when all the great soaps were on tv. Now, I can watch at a time that’s convenient for me.

They remind me of my childhood. My mom used to watch them when I was in middle school and strangely enough my dad now watches some of them.

I love the convenience of hulu and it’s even better to know that Hulu has soaps!
Because hulu is amazing and this way I can watch things on “my” time – I never seem to be around the TV in time to watch soaps and keep up with what’s going on in the past
I haven’t seen a soap in a long time, but we can’t afford a cable bill, so this would be an awesome way to catch up on shows I’ve missed!

Because I like my drama on t.v not in real life 🙂 Also Hulu is great for streaming programs.
First I am excited because it means two of my fave soaps are back, been watching all 3 on ABC for years and was so upset when we lost AMC and OLTL. Second I love that I can watch at a time that is bet for me

I am really excited about the return of AMC. I have watched it since the beginning and grew up with the people of Pine Valley.

I have been an AMC fan for many years and am so glad it is coming back! I’ve really missed it
I love soaps. I miss another world though.
I had to give up my soaps when I got a “real” job. This would allow me to be able to watch on my own time frame!
I’d like to catch up with Adam Chandler and One Life To Live – nostalgic memories of watching this show when I was younger.
I can watch when it’s convenient for me!
I love Vickie from one life to live
I may watch these on my schedule!
Live is complicated and it is amazing to beable to watch shows at our convenience.
