The meerkats at the Lowry Park Zoo totally crack me up. They are so cute, and yet funny at the same time.
Meerkats are foragers, and I love their system of staying safe. Apparently, they forage as a group, with one meerkat serving as a sentry to watch for predators. They take turns with sentry duty: each “shift” is about an hour long!
Meerkats live in packs, which are also known as “mobs” or “clans.” Personally, I think these two look like two old men sitting on a front porch…
Have you had the chance to see meerkats before (other than Timon in The Lion King, of course)? Aren’t they funny looking little guys?
That last picture of the two meerkats is hilarious!
Oh my god, they’re just so cute!
I confess I’ve shed a few tears while watching “Meerkat Manor.” They’re such fascinating, community-drive creatures!
Those last two “old men” are so cute! I love how they work so well together.
BTW Great photos! You did a great job taking them!
I love meerkats! Adorable!!
How did you get such good pics!? They’re adorable.
I LOVE when they sit up!

Hi Katie! I just left a comment over on Lean Body, Lean Wallet and decided I should leave you one, too. 🙂 Your WeddingBee blog is the one that got me hooked on WeddingBee, and I really like your current blog too! I’m so jealous of your year-round, warm weather fashion…

Andrea – thanks so much for the sweet comment! I’m so glad you followed me over here from Weddingbee! 🙂
OMG. The meerkats – I die from the cuteness. Husband I joke that Pablo (our chiweenie) looks like a meerkat. Or a prairie dog. Or pretty much any other adorable slender and small mammal with a pointy snout. Happy Friday!! ♥
They are really funny and cute! Did you know that meerkats can live in the wild up to 10 years. I remember of them in the movie The Lion King. Lol!
