Today marks the start of something new for me. The past few weeks have been a lesson in “going with the flow,” so to say. In a positive way, of course!
Do you remember what it felt like to walk in to your first day of school? I moved almost every other year during my childhood, so being the “new kid” was a pretty typical situation for me to be placed in. The nerves…memorizing a new schedule…learning new names and faces…it was all very exciting but scary at the same time. Now, instead of being the new “kid,” I’m one of the new teachers in town.
So…I’m hoping you will bear with me for the next week or so as I break in my new schedule. I’m not going away by any means whatsoever (I love my blog too much), but I will be rearranging my time a bit as I transition out of working from home during the week to being a teacher. And if you’re wondering: I’ll be teaching technology. Very fitting, don’t you think?
On a side note: I can’t get over how much I’m loving the bird of paradise plant in front of our house. When we moved into the home last year, the plant looked dead, and it sat dormant for quite some time. All of a sudden a few weeks ago it began to bloom! These beautiful, brightly colored birds of paradise sprung up from the ground and have been brightening up our front path. Stunning, aren’t they? They are definitely keeping me in a cheerful mood despite how I may be feeling overwhelmed at the moment!
So tell me: what is making you happy this week?
Congratulations! How exciting! What level are you teaching at – it is an adults class or at a school? I hope you love it! 🙂
congrats on the new gig! How exciting!!
Congrats and best of luck on your new adventure!
That is so exciting! Congratulations on your new job. I hope you love it!
Good luck with your new gig and adjusting to your new schedule! And I agree – Birds of Paradise are just beautiful. Pretty sure I don’t have the right climate to grow them here in Michigan, so I’m super jealous!
Good luck – teaching is a roller coaster, but you’ll love it!
Yes! Congratulations! I’m excited for your new adventure too!
Details on the teaching gig! That’s pretty awesome. What kind of technology will you be teaching?
