I wanted to get this weekend started off on the right foot. That means: cookies! Who can resist some cookies (and maybe a cold glass of milk to go with them)?
Even if you don’t live in New York City, I am sure you might have come across the name: Momofuku Milk Bar. From compost cookies to crack pie, the NYC bakery is famous for its sweet creations. Today: I want to talk about their newest cookie: the Perfect 10 Kookie!
Aren’t they beautiful? I almost felt bad eating these golden lovelies. American Express, Christina Tosi (Momofuku Milk Bar’s famed pastry chef) and her long-time friend and supermodel Karlie Kloss teamed up to create a healthy cookie that’s just as delicious as it is nutritious and also benefits a great cause.
Now: make sure you pay attention: THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO WIN THESE COOKIES! I am giving away 6 tins of cookies here on the blog, and 4 tins over on my Facebook page. Yes: that means if you enter in both places, your name could potentially be drawn twice!
The Perfect 10 Kookies are made with healthy, all natural ingredients. They are dairy-free, gluten-free, and sweetened with agave. They are available for sale at Momofuku Milk Bar in Manhattan and 30 percent of the proceeds go to FEED, an organization that provides school meals to children around the world through the United National World School Feeding program. Each “perfect 10 kookie” sold provides 10 school meals to hungry children around the world. How cool is that?
There are 6 large cookies in each tin, and I have a feeling they won’t last long once they arrive in your kitchen. The cookies are chewy in texture, with a nice crunch from the slivered almonds. If you didn’t tell me, I would have no idea that they are dairy free and gluten free…they are just 100% GOOD! I’m currently mourning the fact that I only have one cookie left.
