Cottesbrook Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc: wine that won’t break the bank

Happy Friday, everyone! As this 4 day work week comes to a close, I think it’s time to relax and open a bottle of wine this evening!

Am I ever going to stop talking about the heat? I’m sorry: I know I am starting to sound like a broken record when I mention the steamy, humid temperatures we have going on right now. But it’s true: it reaches 90 degrees almost every day of the week still…and it necessitates a glass of chilled white wine when it comes to beverage selection.

Cottesbrook Sauvignon Blanc

This Cottesbrook Sauvignon Blanc (2012) is one of my new favorite affordable wine finds. It comes from Marlborough, New Zealand, and offers amazing and refreshing flavors. This sauvignon blanc is crisp and fruity, and very well balanced. You can tell by the color alone that it is light bodied; the pale hue blends perfectly with the bright flavor of the wine. It is so easy to drink, and would be great to pair with fish dishes. You might just find yourself going back for a second glass…or finishing the entire bottle before you know it!

And the price? $12.99 at Total Wine. Not too shabby. I’d buy this wine by the case; it’s definitely a fan favorite here.

What will you be pouring into your glass this weekend?
