Today, I’m feeling a little bit sparkly…can a girl really resist some sequins?
I found this black sequin skirt at…you guessed it…Marshalls! I had been drooling over the beautiful (but high priced) sequin skirts at shops such as J.Crew, but I knew I could never afford one…especially when you consider the fact that a sequin skirt isn’t just for everyday wear. Well, I guess you could argue that point, but hopefully you get my drift!
Side note: someone has this red Mustang parked in our parking lot, but it has not been driven for a very long time…what a shame! It’s so cool.
Striped boatneck top: J.Crew (old), similar at Old Navy: $6.97, Tommy Hilfiger: $22.99, Nordstrom $44, and Tommy Hilfiger (my personal favorite…I love the flower detail on the neck of this shirt) $48
Sequin skirt: purchased at Marshalls, similar by ASOS $53.72, Express $59.90, and if you like a longer style…Blaque Label $88
Spotted coltskin pump: Zara, similar here (also from Zara)
Lipstick: MAC Viva Glam $14.50 (LOVE this: it is the perfect matte red. Worth every penny, trust me)
Black envelope clutch: ASOS, $26.86
Bangles: Forever 21, similar by Forever 21: $2.80, $6.80, $4.80
Do you have a sequined skirt?
I adore this outfit so much. The simplicity of the stripes and the glamour of the skirt. The perfect balance.
Thank you so much Hannah! 🙂 It was a fun outfit to wear for a night out for dinner with the husband… 🙂
Yes – I have on in gold that I haven’t even worn yet. I got it at a thrift store for $10 and looked it up on J Crews website about a month ago and they were still selling it for like $140. Craziness! XO maggie http://www.magsragstoriches.com

The stripes and the sequins look so good together! This is a cute outfit!
