My warm weather weekend wear is back in action! Is there anything better than finding a dress you can just throw on to run around town? This dress is definitely one of those…and I love that you can still feel put together without a lot of effort. Let’s face it: my effort has gone down on the weekends. If it isn’t easy breezy, I don’t want to mess around with it on my days off.
Perhaps when summer rolls around and I have a week or two off things will change. I have to admit, I’m looking forward to our upcoming 4 day weekend. Even though it will most likely be busy with Easter festivities, I’m hoping for at least a little bit of relaxation. Maybe I can get that pedicure I’ve been thinking about for a few weeks now.
I’m also hoping that Sherman’s first beach trip can happen at some point over this long weekend. We didn’t want to take him out anywhere until his heartworm medication arrived. As of yesterday, he’s all set! I can’t wait to see if he likes to swim. I really hope he will. Sherman has really come out of his shell lately and has enormous confidence; I’m crossing my fingers that means he will run right into the waves (unlike Lucia, who just likes to wade in the shallow water and refuses to swim).
…but back to this tee shirt dress. I am seriously loving all of the Lou & Grey line available at LOFT lately. Everything looks so comfortable, and when the store was 40% off recently, I had no excuse not to pick up this black tee shirt dress. The material is nice and thick, the length is great, and I’m just really happy with it all around. It has now joined the ranks of my many other simple black dresses in my closet (like this one and this one and this one). I was wearing it with sandals today, but I could definitely see a pair of cute wedges or espadrilles making their way into the picture for a slightly more dressed up look! Options: you’ve got them.
Do you have a collection of easy to wear dresses for the weekends?

Cute, and comfy; my kind of dress!
The tee shirt dress is such a great piece, so much versatility, you will be able to wear it all spring, summer and even through the fall!
I cannot wait to meet Mr. Sherman in person! I only own dresses, lol. Actually, you would have been proud of me this weekend – I ventured out and bought a few pairs of fun shorts for this spring/summer. Now, let’s see if I actually wear them.
Adorable! You can’t go wrong with a classic t-shirt dress!
