Basic Egg Pasta Recipe
This basic egg pasta recipe will become a family favorite around your table for all types of fresh pasta meals!

  • 2 cups sifted all purpose flour
  • 1½ cup sifted cake flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 4 large eggs
  1. Add flour and salt to a large mixing bowl. Use the beater blade of a mixer to stir the flour and salt at a low speed, then gradually add the eggs and water. Mix for about 30 seconds.
  2. Then, use a dough hook attachment on your mixer and knead the dough for about 2 minutes (at a slow speed).
  3. Remove dough from the bowl and place on a clean working surface. Knead with your hands for about 30 seconds. The dough should be smooth and holds together in a ball shape.
  4. After the dough is prepared, use a pasta extruder/cutter to shape it into desired pasta form. You can dry it for later use, freeze it for up to 4 months, or refrigerate it for about 5 days. Boil for 3-4 minutes to cook until al dente: enjoy!
