My Style

My style: purple crepe and animal print

Lately, my outfits seem to be really keeping it on the simple side. As much as I love a statement necklace or a stack of bangles, sometimes I just don’t feel like putting them on.

You can call it lazy I suppose: the reality of the situation is that I haven’t fully unpacked things in the new house. My jewelry is one of those things that is sitting around, wrapped up but unpacked. I probably should get around to that at some point in the near future, huh? Right now I’m relegated to stud earrings and my wedding rings. At least I have something!

Anyway, as soon as I spotted this crepe blouse at Ann Taylor LOFT, I knew it had to come home with me. The material is light and flowy, which is great for Florida in the fall/winter when I want to wear long sleeves but don’t want to be too hot. You guys: sweater weather has not been frequent as of yet in these parts! We had a cold snap for a bit, but this week it has been around 80 degrees. What is up with that? I wouldn’t mind a little bit of a nip in the air when Christmas rolls around…just saying!

But until then, I’ll take advantage of the fact that I don’t have to wear closed toed shoes every day – my strappy Carol heels from ShoeMint are still getting quite a bit of wear right now. I swear: they go with so many different outfits, and they’re so comfortable. If you’re looking for an animal print heel, this could be the pair for you.

Do you sometimes feel like forgoing jewelry in your daily outfits, or do you have a certain piece (or pieces) that you wear every day?
