Hey there! I can’t tell you how excited I am to be guest posting for Katie! I followed Katie back when she was Mrs. Buttons and continue to keep up with her fashion and food posts now. I caught the blogging bug when I documented our wedding journey on Weddingbee as Mrs. Elephant. Now I’m writing about married life, travel, cooking and our future house search over at Oh Lordy!
After the wedding, I knew that I would need a new interest to help fill the free time left from DIY projects. We’re in the middle of moving so home projects were out. Trying new recipes seemed like a perfect way to keep me busy, to which my husband had no objections. Today I’ll be sharing one of my Pintrest inspirations, Sausage & Pepperoni Pizza Bites.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup of Flour
3/4 tsp of Baking Powder
1/2 tsp of Garlic Powder
3/4 cup of Milk
1 Egg, lightly beaten
1 cup of Mozzarella Cheese
1/2 cup of Mini Turkey Pepperoni
1 cup of Sausage
1/2 cup of Pizza Sauce, for dipping
Instructions:
1. To begin, cook and crumble the sausage over medium heat then set aside.
2. In a bowl: mix together flour, garlic powder, and baking powder. Whisk in the milk and egg, then combine with the cheese, sausage and pepperoni.
3. Let the batter stand for 10 minutes before stirring once more and dividing among a greased mini muffin tin. Bake until puffed and golden, about 20 -25 minutes.
4. Heat the pizza sauce in the microwave for 1 minute and served as dipping sauce.
These pizza bites were the perfect finger food as we enjoyed watching our weekend football games!
Do you have any favorite finger foods?
This post came at the perfect time. I’ve just spent my lunch hour looking for recipes to make for the PSU tailgate tomorrow. I’m so sick of bringing dips and this sounds absolutely perfect!!! Thanks for posting!
These look so delish. It’s time to bring something different to those house parties!
Thanks!!! They were so good and gone in no time.
Those look so simple and delish – definitely trying this recipe!
Those look yummy. Now I am hungry.
I made these tonight and they were a big hit. I did have to guess on the bake temp for the oven though? I’m not a huge cook so I was a bit nervous about this. But I did 350 and used a regular muffin pan. Baked for about 20 or so minutes and they came out just fine. Used turkey sausage, as well as skim milk. Would definitely make again! Thanks for sharing the recipe! Perfect when I was freaking out about what to make for dinner tonight! 🙂
