Seeing spots in patterned hosiery

One thing I absolutely LOVE about the fall and winter season is that I can break out some creative and fun ways to keep my legs covered!

Yes, you can wear pants…or a long skirt…but what about when you want to wear a skirt/dress/shorts with a knee high (or above) hemline and need to keep your legs from getting cold?

Hello, patterned hosiery. I am madly in love with you.

I have an EXTENSIVE collection of patterned and colored hosiery in my wardrobe, and I always end up adding to it each year. I love that you can be subdued with an opaque black tight (you can never go wrong), or punch it up with a bright color or a killer pattern.

When I laid eyes on this particular pair of dotted tights from Cynthia Rowley, I immediately fell in love. Hard. There was no stopping me: I had to have them, and the flash sale on Gilt they were a part of made me act fast. They are the perfect accompaniment for a little black dress…and I decided to punch up the volume a little bit more by adding some animal print pumps. Double the spots, please!

I don’t want to leave you out of the patterned hosiery fun, so I rounded up a selection of pretty options today. From animal print to polka dot, I’ve got you covered!

One: Gipsy sheer hearts tights – ASOS

Two: Pretty Polly embellished sparkle tights – Urban Outfitters

Three: Racey Lacey tights – ASOS

Four: Geo swirl net tight – Piperlime

Five: Leopard print tights – ASOS

Six: Openwork petal tight – Urban Outfitters

Seven: Opaque with glitter spot tights – ASOS

Eight: Big dot tight – Piperlime

Are you a fan of patterned hosiery? What’s your favorite pair?

    • More more! I actually really love the Apt 9 brand that is at Kohl’s too – they are surprisingly thick and don’t run/tear as easily as some others I’ve had!

  • I love patterned tights too but I think I missed my opportunity for them this year as wearing them with boots I think might take them into a territory I do not want to visit!

  • I love tights and hosiery and I love your round up of all of these cute designs! I love that they will easily move from work to night with no problem! I’m particularly fond of the leopard print (5)! With some emerald velvet heels, it’s on! Cute post! I’m going to have to start keeping up with your blog 🙂

  • I generally wear a ton of dresses/skirts in the winter and I love that tights are an accessory! Loft is probably one of my favorite place to get pattered tights. The fit is really nice and they last a long time. (I go through so many during the year so longevity is a surprise.)

Love this whole look you have going on!

    • Oooh, why didn’t I think about LOFT? I actually haven’t tried a pair of theirs before…but since I love their clothes so much, I imagine I’d love the tights too!

  • those tights are fab! i love that pattern! i got addicted to tights 2 winters ago, and i just keep buying more. it’s not a bad problem to have 🙂

    • I have an increasingly large collection…and since I live in Florida there isn’t a large window of time to wear them. Why I have over 30 pairs is beyond me…but there are just so many colors and patterns…it’s hard not to collect!
