Favorite Fragrance: Jo Malone Blackberry and Bay Cologne

I’ve admitted this in the past: I am a bit of a collector when it comes to fragrances. My collection is ever increasing. I can’t help myself. New scents come along that I am drawn to, and a new bottle inevitably appears on my counter.

Historically, I haven’t stuck to one brand. I’ve constantly changed to new ones as I’ve built my collection. But things may be changing now. I just might have discovered my one and only fragrance brand. That brand happens to be Jo Malone…and I’m hooked.

Jo Malone Blackberry and Bay Cologne

My first fragrance bottle from Jo Malone is their Blackberry and Bay Cologne. It took me a long time to settle on it, as their entire perfume line is absolutely wonderful. Their fragrances are so natural and fresh…and what I truly love is that they are blendable! Maybe I’ve been living under a rock, but until I was introduced to Jo Malone, I had never considered MIXING my fragrances.

There are so many combinations you can think up with their perfumes. The Blackberry and Bay smells amazing all on its own (the sweet blackberry scent mixed with the earthier/herby scent of bay leaves), but when you combine it with the English Pear and Freesia you get a completely new fragrance (that happens to be one of my favorite combinations I’ve sampled). Of course, it is necessary to purchase two whole fragrance bottles to make this combination, but if you are starting a collection, I can see how it would be amazing! Instead of two scents, you end up with three, since you can mix them when you apply. I know I’m going to slowly add to my collection, as a new bottle of perfume tends to be a common item on my gift list for holidays/special occasions. English Pear and Freesia happens to be next in line, by the way…hint hint…wink wink…

What is your favorite fragrance line? Have you experienced Jo Malone before?
