Celebrating Family with Gallo Family Vineyards

What does family mean to you? For me, family can include those who are related to me, but can also incorporate individuals I have a bond with. There is not just one definition for what makes up a family, and I personally love that sentiment. As a matter of fact, in a recent survey, a large majority (92%) of Americans noted that family could include someone unconnected by blood or marriage. Clearly, the definition of family has evolved over the years. Gallo Family Vineyards In my home, family includes those who sit around my family table and share meals together. Let’s be honest: food is important to my group! Sometimes my fellow diners happen to be my parents, Justin’s parents, and our siblings. Sometimes that family happens to be a good blogging friend who breaks bread in person at the table. I am so thankful to have a number of new friends that have been forged through a blogging connection. For example: my Sunday Supper family. I’ve been fortunate to be a part of the Sunday Supper group for a little over a year now, and it is definitely a family. We break bread virtually on Sundays to share recipes from our kitchens (the theme of the recipes change each week), but some of us actually have been fortunate enough to meet in person as well!

A few months ago, I was lucky enough to attend the Food and Wine Conference in Orlando, where I came face to face with some of my Sunday Supper family. But come to find out: some of that group happens to live in the Tampa area as well! Now, our virtual family can physically sit down around a table and enjoy a meal in person. For me, sharing food (and wine) while engaging in conversation is wonderful family time, regardless of blood relation. The more family, the better! It just so happens the Food and Wine Conference/my Sunday Supper Family was the reason I was first introduced to the Gallo Family Vineyards. We sampled a few wines from their collection at dinner one night as they were paired with each course of our meal, and now I’ve had the pleasure of sharing a bottle of the Moscato and the Cabernet Sauvignon in my own home. Their wines are accessible and affordable in price, with fruit forward flavors. From sweet Moscato, to a refreshing Pinot Grigio, to a medium bodied Pinot Noir, to a rich Cabernet Sauvignon, there is sure to be a wine paired to the taste of each member of your particular family. Gallo Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Gallo Family Vineyards recently announced the launch of the Gallo Family Vineyards Crest Creator™ at www.CrestCreator.com. This site is both fun and interactive! Users can create, share, and download personalized family crests for all of their families. They can include the people you are related to or just the people you relate to in life. There are 17 different crest templates, along with 300 icons to add a personal touch. It was fun to click through, see the various options, and select those that represented my personal family group. My finished product looks like this: Ruffles and Truffles family crest GalloOf course, my family crest had to include wine, some fashion accessories (my family loves to shop), food (our grill works hard in this family unit), and other hobbies we enjoy together (the beach, anyone?). The process was enjoyable, and it made me want to create different crests to represent each different family group in my life. It was very fun! Your finished crest design can be shared on Facebook, Twitter, or downloaded to your computer. Gallo has also partnered with Zazzle.com to allow your custom crest to be printed on a variety of objects. The custom crests can be printed for purchase on a variety of objects, making them an unforgettable personalized gift. Awesome, right? Please visit Crest Creator to generate your Family Crest.
