Easy bathroom organization ideas

The bathroom – one of the most important rooms of the house, but also one of the easiest ones to get messy. Ugh! We recently revamped our master bathroom from top to bottom (you can see the renovation HERE), and it has become my mission to keep it looking absolutely fabulous. Today, I’m sharing a few of my bathroom organization methods. They make the bathroom a prettier place, and are even better for the environment (with special thanks to Scott Naturals Tube Free toilet paper)!

I don’t know about you, but when it comes to my bathroom counter, it is SO easy to pack it with all of my random beauty items. Soap, toothpaste, face wash, deodorant, hair ties: they all stack up and take up space on the counter. Now, it’s simple enough to just push them into one spot together to keep it semi-organized, but the problem rears its head when I go to clean the counter. Bottles, tubes, and the like all have to be removed from the counter so I can wipe everything down. It’s kind of a pain, and it increases my cleaning time! Thankfully, there is a simple (and pretty) solution.

And that solution? TRAYS or BASKETS! Yes, it is that simple! Placing your loose items in a tray on your counter will keep things organized but still easily accessible. I found this lovely little clear tray at Target (my go-to shopping destination for pretty much everything in life), and I knew it was meant to sit on my bathroom counter. I easily placed everything inside, and voila! It instantly looked more organized. The clear tray itself keeps everything looking sleek – it is barely noticeable. Plus, when I need to clean the counter, I simply pick up the entire tray and set it aside in one easy movement.

I also decided it would make a lot of sense for the overall look of the bathroom counter to add in another detail: a soap and lotion dispenser! I also found these items at Target – so fun! The little oil can style is too cute, and it just makes everything look a bit more sleek on top of the counter, as opposed to a disposable soap bottle that doesn’t always match the decor. This set also happened to come with its own little tray to keep the bottles together on the counter, which is a nice touch. PLUS refillable bottles are good for the environment! By using reusable soap and lotion containers, I am now able to purchase large bulk soap and lotion refills instead of the bottles that I throw away or recycle. It saves me money in the end to buy the refills, it’s better for the planet, AND it looks great on the counter. Win-win-win!

And let’s talk about another important and essential aspect of the bathroom – toilet paper! When we made our new bathroom vanity, I decided against drilling into the sides to attach a toilet paper dispenser. Instead, I picked up a freestanding one that allows you to store three extra rolls on the bottom. I love it because I always have extra on hand when the current roll ends. But here’s a question for you: what do you do with the empty tube? All too often, I used to throw it in the garbage can. Then, I realized that was a bad choice for the environment and began recycling them instead. Did you know that over 17 billion toilet paper tubes are tossed out every year? That’s a lot. But what if there was no roll at all? Now THAT is a concept I can get on board with. Have you seen Scott Naturals Tube Free toilet paper yet? It’s just that: tube free! No tube on the toilet paper roll is not only better for the environment than simply recycling, but it also makes your bathroom look better! At the end of the roll, nothing is left on the toilet paper holder…all you have to do is add a new roll. I am 100% happy with that. Honestly, don’t you just hate it when someone takes the last bit of toilet paper and leaves the roll there? No more!!! Plus, the roll is the same shape and size as others, so it fits just as easily into your holder.

You can easily pick up your own pack of Scott Naturals Tube Free at Target alongside the other bathroom paper options. You can even save $2 on a 4 pack or larger – which is almost 50% off the price of a 4 pack! How can you say no to a deal that good? I can’t. So, do you have a mess in your bathroom? I shared my solutions – what is your best tip?
